Sorry for not posting
anything for a while, I was quite busy with practicum stuff and programs.
This post created for
the Terengganu Century Ride 160km 2014 that I participated in last month.
My comment on the TCR
2014 was quite enjoyable when I think about it. The route was quite difficult even
though the scenery was beautiful I spent two month training while my practicum in SK Bukit Payong,
Terengganu.
Before the event I will
go out at night to get some training because I was quite busy in daytime or
just sleeping. Haha.
In the end, I finished
my training by setting up an objective to reach 1000km in two month and turn
quite well for me luckily.
Tips for Century by
me.
1.
Finish
your training early and get some rest before the big event.
-
I finished
my training one day before the big event and I got some saddle incident that
left me quite uncomfortable during the event. Let your body heals before the
event.
2.
Set up an
objective or goal before you started to train for the event.
-
My goal
was to reach 1000km before the event and it really helped when I was out riding
or just to motivate me when I was feeling lazy to train in some days.
3.
Nutrition
is important during training.
-
You should
take well balance diet to get more result while training.
4.
Do some
mental training when you are not riding.
-
This is to
prepare you when you are riding with more experienced riders and probably will
get demotivated on the rode during the event. Keep with your pace and remember you
objective to finish the route and not drop out in the middle of the ride.
5.
Check and
regulate your bike before the event.
-
Give your
bike some loving and cherish the parts thoroughly so there are no mechanical problem
during the race.
6.
Join the
event with a group or partner.
-
This will
help to motivate you when you are feeling down and demotivate to go for a ride
and it will really help to have someone in the event.
